Fox News brought Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer back after desertion charges were finally filed against Bowe Bergdahl. Shaffer told Bill O'Reilly in January that his sources confirmed the Army presented Bowe Bergdahl's Lawyer with a charge sheet. This was quickly denied by Eugene Fidell, Bergdahl's Lead Counsel and debunked by KOC NEWS later that night via a simple GOOGLE Search.
Bill O'Reilly said, the White House has had this information, that the charges have been ready for awhile, but the White House has been delaying it under the auspices of Ben Rhodes, Assistant National Security Advisor. This is a lot closer to the truth then the false report waged by the retired Lt. Col.
Shaffer's sources were clearly wrong even though Bergdahl was eventually charged, and Fox should have let this guy stay on the sidelines as he simply didn't have a clue what he was talking about. This cover our ass form of news reporting is not only distasteful, but is why nobody trusts the Mainstream News agencies anymore.
Bergdahl now faces anywhere from 5 years to life in prison if convicted of Desertion with Intent to Shirk Important or Hazardous Duty, but if it takes as long to get him to trial as it did to charge him, he may have his 20 years in before it sees the inside of a court room.

Bill O'Reilly also marched Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer out to spin his report tonight on the factor. They think the audience is either stupid or has forgotten his previous appearance. Shaffer claimed the Army had charged Bergdahl and served his lawyer with a charge sheet. That never happened, plain and simple.
